More than an incredible day.

So, Im so more excited than words can express actually. This is why: Last night I got sick. This morning, I was still feeling really crappy! And was severly bummed cuz by the grace of God I was going to meet with my sponsered child again and meet her parents. Short notice. We thought they were going to go up country for christmas and thought they already had left! I was so sad until yesterday when my contact said that she was still in town and we could leave tomorrow. I was excited but feeling horrible. So this morning, I walked from where I was to meet my contact...and it was about 30 - 40 min. walk...and I didnt think I could make it and got sick by the side of the road. I was fed up. Haha yes, im telling you all this for a good reason.
But I was so fed up and said to God that I was going to go anyways, I met with my contact and we got a flat tire going over to the place we were going to meet them. Bummer.. but not too much cuz we couldnt have had more perfect timing. It turns out the father was running late and we got to go to my child's house to meet him. We sat there waiting or almost an hour. The girl had the most adorable brother <-side note. But while we were sitting and waiting and talking with the girl.. her friend was there. She wanted to become a christian and I helped leading her to Jesus. It was so incredible. So that is why I had an incredible day. The whold experience of not only that but of spending time with Winnie, it was priceless.. Im so thankful I got to see her again. :) One more thing, my contact said that I was the first person they had ever taken to see their sponsored child here in Kenya. Whow.. holy cow, thats a big thing. I am looking forward to keep sponsoring this sweet girl and coming back in the near future.
