a bit of an update

:) well. Im happy. Yup that I am. I am back in Marurui which is the small slums. I am here for a little while (not sure how long, depends on God) but I would like to go to Mombasa, which is on the coast. I would love to go and visit the YWAM base there. Im in the works of getting that together.

The past couple of weeks have been good. I got to hold babies, hang out with americans and go to Kibera. Kibera is the biggest slum in Africa. Its huge. Its about 3 miles long. I went with some americans there to help in a preschool and go to a 'detention center for boys'. That was beyond heartbreaking. I can not explain why it hurt our hearts so. That will be a story for a different time, Im not going to post about it. (sadly) but being there made my heart alive, awake, alert and ready to help. In the future I would love to go back and help there with a lady I met. Shes apart of the american group and has such a heart for that area. She plans to move back in a couple years permanatley.

But everything about these last couple weeks were heartbreaking.. I was happy to go to a different area. See thats why i have a hard time staying in one place. If I can just focus my attention on a child who needs it, they are so thrilled. Moving on now.. but i miss those americans. It was a BIG encouragement. It was good to get refreshed in things.

So thats about it. The kids here have missed me sooo much, they always want to hug, jump on and talk with me.

(and yes mitch, i cant wait to tell you everything :) its been so beyond amazing.)
