First i will tell you my very beyond depressing story. Because its always good to end with something happy.
My dog Sage got shot today. With a pellet gun sadly. Who knows who did it. But I was close to her.. she was 15 years old and her life didn't need to end like that to be honest. She was an amazing dog. I loved her so much. I still do. Its not the way i wanted to say goodbye.
Second story but this one is of happiness. So here we are in New Orleans and we were just hanging out, chatting with people. I felt like God was telling me to start up a conversation with this chick who turned out to be hitchiking with another person. Her and I were talking about photography and I felt as if God was telling me to give my digital camera to her. So, I did. She was very appreciative of it. But I told her the story of when I went to Kenya and needed money. God supplied for my needs, so why shouldnt I return the favor to bless her? I took the memory card out because I had pictures on there that I wanted to keep. But in my heart I knew it wasnt going to be the last time I saw her and it wasnt!
The next day, one of our contacts, was going to have coffee with them in the morning. I gave him the memory card to take the pictures off of them and put them on a disc. And later that day, I ended up seeing the girl again. Shes 20 and plans to do more college this coming fall but for now, shes hitchiking. But I asked to see the camera I gave her and I then stuck the card in it and explained a little bit about it. At this point in her life, shes beginning to see that God is real and relevant. That he can supply for her needs. She said all she has is her disposable cameras but having a digital would be nice.. anyways...
Those are my two stories for now. Heres a picture of my dog, Sage. She will forever be loved.. so so so so soooooooooo much. Right now I wish I could lay with her in the sun, just like I used to.
